BlackletterĀ is a live 3D film combining real-time performance with music, commissioned by the University of Chicago and supported by the Wilhelm von Humboldt Fund. It examines the influence of Martin Luther, whose actions during the 16th-century Reformation transformed religion and communication. Featuring dancer Jodi Melnick, violinist Tom Chiu, and layered visuals blending AI imagery with original footage, these 2D excerpts are drawn from the longer 3D work created by Paul Kaiser and Marc Downie of Open Ended Group. I contributed cinematography and artistic direction.
